When it opened at the beginning, the Sushiwan boasted of being the first Japanese restaurant in Tunis offering the “kaiten zushi”, ie serve sushi on a conveyor belt so that customers use. The color is immediately announced with a “USP” clear and adequate communication. Some months later, I returned to see the status and taste some sushi. The surprise was more enjoyable!
Nobody will contradict me if I said that in general, after a few months or a year or two, many restaurants degrade the level of service, quality of food, decor starting to be poor . The Sushiwan persist and sign. It is probably part of a new generation of restaurants like Sakura in Marsa or Farfalle at the lakeside, gaining momentum over the seasons and years and moving forward by retaining customers, improving their business…
Returning to Sushiwan, this restaurant is in my opinion the best Japanese Tunis. It serves succulent Nigris, californias rolls, maki … A special mention is awarded to plate Tempura and yakituri. Beautifully presented dishes are tasty, the flavors explode in the mouth, fries are crispy to perfection when it comes to the crunchy tempura or … By cons, noodles with beef or chicken are a bit too salty and probably lacking ingredients …
In Sushiwan, the service is quick and neat although the team is not very comfortable with the dishes.
The staff is attentive, very caring with respect to customers and doing everything possible so that they have a good time.
I particularly enjoyed the blackcurrant juice on the house on arrival and regrets the lack of choice in varieties of teas.
In terms of prices, it takes at least 30 dt person for 25 pieces of sushi, noodles are between 20 and 25 Dt, the tempura prawns are 25Dt, yakitori are 11dt …
As for the decoration and atmosphere, I enjoyed the relaxing tones of the room and loved the tatami corner! Pretty winks in Japan and small flat for light, too strong, too overwhelming! The Sushiwan fact also caterer and book on the big Tunis from exceeding 30DT.
