Meeting with its promoter and founder, the engineer Sami Zitouni.

1001Tunisie: Can you tell us more about Brinkford Immobilière and its project “WaterFront”?

Sami Zitouni: The “WaterFront” project is the first realization of a series of projects that we wish to sustain. It is a modern building of 11 units (S + 2 and S + 3) and 2 shops offering comfort and amenities. The delivery date is December 2011. Each apartment, from 200 000 to 350 000 TND, is designed and delivered with, inter alia, a floor covering of white marble, PVC joinery double glazing specially designed for the seaside, a kitchen equipped with appliances, central air conditioning cooling each room, and excellent thermal and sound insulation. Another project of “WaterFront” is also underway in Hammamet.
As for Brinkford Immobilière, it was in July 2008, after an experience of more than 15 years in real estate development, that I created a Group consisting of a construction and civil engineering company, real estate development companies. , an aluminum and PVC joinery, an international trading company, and consumer and metallurgy distribution companies.

We have already sold on plans half of the housing to a clientele of Tunisians living abroad and wanting to afford a prestigious residence in the heart of a bustling city. Some of our clients were born in La Goulette and maintain a somewhat nostalgic relationship with this community. “WaterFront” is ideally located between Roosevelt Avenue and the Avenue de la Republique which is between the busiest street of La Goulette, restaurants, and the seaside.

1001 Tunisie: What is the specifications for the construction of “WaterFront”?

We wanted a modern building, bright, enjoying its beautiful southern orientation and its ideal location on the seafront. The 11 apartments, between 107 and 138 m2, all have a magnificent view of the sea and its beach. Some apartments go through the building and benefit from a double orientation. In order to keep some privacy at this 4-storey residence, each landing only accommodates 3 dwellings.
The architect Mohamed Triki as well as the engineer in charge worked to a natural ventilation of each apartment as well as to an optimal protection of the building with the aim of a saving of energy consumption respecting the Tunisian standards. “Waterfront” is ranked 2 on a scale of 1 to 8 (1 being a minimal energy consumption building), which is a remarkable result due to its position at the seaside.

Because it is geographically a very well located city , we are only a few minutes from Tunis, the Capital, the international airport and the benefits of the Northern Suburbs (Carthage / La Marsa / Sidi Bou Saïd / Gammarth). La Goulette is also a mythical seaside resort where lived together until the sixties important Jewish and Italian communities of Tunisia. Nowadays, the city comes alive in summer: fish restaurants and the beach are always busy.
