Starting and Running a festival is not an easy task. What are your means? What is the purpose?
It is difficult to manage a single dance festival. Fortunately, I am surrounded by friends who helped me as Mr Moez Ben Salem who has experience in the field of dance congress management. We also have a great friend who offered us a famous DJ in the field of Latin dances from Haiti … All this in addition to the encouragement of close friends.
It remains to clarify that we do not have many sponsors since it’s our first edition but this will not deter me from my goal to contribute to changing the level of the salsa in Tunisia and to explain to people that dance is an art by which it is expressed.
What is the niche of Latin dances in Tunisia? How many schools there’s there?
The level of Latin dances in Tunisia is good but you always hope better. Too few people dancing salsa in Tunisia and we are working to increase this number. Regarding dance schools in Tunisia, they are quite rare. We are talking more precisely of gyms where dance classes are given.
In salsa dancing evenings or congress, we meet several public; those who want to learn to dance and they are gifted, those who prefer to watch without trying and professionals who want to improve.
Who is your audience? Who can come to the salsa festival?
The festival is open to everyone. Youth, adults and old. The event is open to all. I just say to all those who have never taken dance lessons in their lives, come! It’s now or never !
