Ammar Belguith is a painter, while plastic farmer, at least it is exactly in these terms that presents the one that says growing concepts in his native Dahmani, a delegation which is a few tens of kilometers of El Kef. His sacred shrine of memories when he decided to move back to the death of his family and where he dug up an old cave in which he played when he was 5 years old.
In its mountains, Ammar is a free man. A human who plays with time, weather, aridity of the land, isolation, money, the disparity between regions … It is here that he finds his roots and remembers a time when his father owned a small grocery store in the family domain in addition to a modest farming.
He recalls: “The cave was our refuge. My father put us there sheltered from sun and rain and we went there for days. Somewhat exhausted by the difficult years of economic crisis linked among others to the reconstruction phase that the country, Ammar belguith is currently completing an accommodation unit in the Cave of Althiburos thanks to Fikra program; A support program for European NGOs whose mission in Tunisia is to support regional development in the North-West. The property is also now building a camping area and although confidential information already circulating in insider circles.
The Cave Althiburos is undoubtedly one of the best stops in the region certainly thanks to its proximity to the famous archaeological site but above all thanks to the famous cave painted in his coffee shop in the small meeting room and especially the humor and originality of the character.
Ammar Belguith is one of the leading players in the region. Generous and involved in the region, Ammar Belguith does not miss a chance to sensitize children to the art and its importance as a means of expression and as a social link. He is currently an artistic event that will provide more than forty children “douars” surrounding supplies for the 2016-2017 school year. Children must for this part participate in a collective exhibition of drawings.
