Chiraz Triki and Bilel Wachtati are two young chefs who took part in the finals of the Toque d’Or in Paris in November 2016. This competition organized by the National Academy of Cooking (ANC), the largest association of chefs in France , Is considered one of the most difficult contests in France and the world.

The Tunisian delegation of the ANC, which is just beginning its activities, can claim to begin its action in the spotlight. They support Chef Chiraz Triki El Ghoul (pastry Saveur Magenta https://www.facebook.com/Patisserie-SAVEUR-MAGENTA-193544274038451/) and Chef Bilel Wechtati (restaurant Le Baroque https://www.facebook.com/ RestaurantBarLeBaroque /) for the finals of the Toque d’Or 2016 in the categories “Professional Patisserie” and “Professional Kitchen”. The two leaders are supported by a shock team consisting of Chef Mounir AREM (President ANC Tunisia), Chef Ali DEY DALI, Chef Karim MAHBOULI, Chef Zouhaier SAMMOUND, Chef Karim ELLOUZ. The common thread that links them is that they all come from great international cuisine schools, have and continue to do training and internships around the world and have a strong ambition: to have another look at their job.

Reserved for professionals of kitchen of more than 23 years and justifying of 5 years of experience, the contest lasts more than 5:30 for the kitchen and 4:30 for the pastry.

The Tunisian team  is currently training to be ready on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. The team must compose a dish accompanied by 3 toppings and a dessert. In addition, on the day of the contest, a surprise entry from the culinary guide Escoffier. For pastry, the chef must compose an entire piece and an entremets to serve for 8 people.

The jury is composed of about sixty people. It is made up of chefs, gastronomic critics, fine gourmets ….
