From 6 to 10 September 2017, the city of Brunswick will beat the rhythm of the Soussien summer. An area of ​​about 500 m2, in front of the town hall, will be reserved for the capital of the Sahel to animate a program of cultural, technological and tourist festivities.

Brunswick has been twinned with Sousse since 1980. The city is located in northern Germany, in the Land of Lower Saxony. With a population of 253,000, Brunswick, also known as the City of Lions and Scientists, is the second largest city in Lower Saxony after Hanover.

 

During this cultural week of a few days, the esplanade, in front of the town hall, will be dressed in colors and Sousse. The place, the most frequented by the inhabitants of the city, then becomes a beautiful showcase for the whole of Tunisia. It is therefore, under capitals of 200 m2, that many exhibitors will be present to promote their regions, artistic know-how (photos, crafts …) or technological (robots, drones, prototypes …) living, gentle welcome, hospitality …

On the program: concerts of music, lyrical songs, an exhibition, a projection on a big screen of videos presenting advantageously Sousse as well as a tourist webcam. The space will be animated by culinary stands and the tasting of products of terroirs including olive oil, wine, brandy, honey, pastry, jasmine ice cream, …

 
The event is organized in collaboration with the City Council of Sousse and the city’s Tourist Information Office and the association APTA. The Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts will also participate in this event in collaboration with the Regional Federation of the Hotellerie de Sousse, notably by renting marquees, giant screens, setting up the reserved area and taking total charge of 6 artisans (pottery, painting on silk, mosaicists).

In the press release, it is reported that the Ministry of Cultural Affairs takes charge of the stay of a musical troupe. The program also mentions the screening of Lajimi Mokthar’s film “Dicta chott”, on September 7 in one of Brunswick’s cinemas.

Finally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also supports this initiative through the granting of visas and the organization of a meeting with the Tunisian community in Germany. The Technopole of Sousse presents “START-UP”, incubated in the technopole and sends the robots that are created in its den. The Sousse Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with FIPA, will present to Tunisian and Tunisian investors in Germany the new Tunisian Investment Code and will defend the opportunity to invest in Tunisia in general and in Sousse in particular.
