The Tunisian Federation of Travel and Tourism Agencies will be participating this year at the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair (8-12 March 2017) through a 44 m² stand, which will be built in the same radius as that of ONTT and Tunisair In order to consolidate the presence of tourist Tunisia at this major event for the destination.
“We have chosen to participate in our own stand in order to show our international partners that Tunisian travel agencies are totally ready to accompany the recovery of the German market and that the destination has much more to offer than its beaches” declared the president Of the FTAV, Mr. Mohamed Ali Toumi.
Indeed, this stand will include a space to welcome the agencies adhering to the FTAV to allow them to meet their foreign partners willing to develop an alternative tourism activity in Tunisia. The FTAV, which benefits from the financial support of the Tunisian National Tourism Office and the support of the AHK (Tunisian Chamber of Industry and Commerce), will play the role of facilitator Linking foreign professionals with Tunisian specialists on the basis of pre-prepared BtoB meetings. German journalists are also expected at the stand for meetings and presentations on alternative tourism.
To this end, FTAV invited Chef Rafik Tlatli, who will offer visitors to the fair cold fare (in the form of canapés) from different regions of Tunisia. Bssissa, canapés with Mlaoui, sardines … will be presented both on professional days and general public. In addition, a German-speaking guide will be present to explain to visitors the culinary, cultural and tourist specificities of Tunisia’s terroir. Also on the program is a presentation of the Circuit de Magon and distribution of recipes based on harissa in German.
The permanent animation prepared by the FTAV aims to arouse the curiosity of the numerous visitors to the show to present the destination to them from an innovative angle in line with the strategic orientations of Tunisian tourism.
