After the success of the gastronomic restaurant “Dar El Jeld” and the typical restaurant “Fondok El Attarine”, the owners of both establishments open the first Palace of the medina; Dar El Jeld Palace & Spa.

More than 4000m2 for 16 suites and a conference area make up a beautiful garden hotel in the heart of a medina classified as World Heritage by UNESCO.

Signed by the architects Anouar Ennafaa and Ghazi Ben Ismail, the spaces are as if they had always existed, while part of the hotel is built on the old “Eddiwane” and the second on the old bath Moor of Dar El Jeld. From the entrance, one can admire the laborious work of restoration of the old part of the building and the new part of the building.

Special mention to the floodlit lobby and the modern furniture by Poltrona Frau.

Here crystal chandeliers blend with old mirrors and paintings by masters such as Ben Salem, Boucherle or the magnificent contemporary sculpture of Rym Karoui.

The hotel also houses a SPA, a reception room, a restaurant offering world cuisine, a piano bar with a breathtaking view over the rooftops of the medina.
