Well, it is this particular audience awakener who pulled fasters from their sleep to tell them it’s time to take the s’hour in order to face the day of fasting.
With a special instrument, a small gravestone, this jovial character (Boutbila) that evokes the scent of yesteryear would travel the streets before the first light of day using alarm for throughout the holy month.
In recent years, the Agency Direct Marketing SKF resurrected the practice. The year 2013 was no exception to the rule. And the third session of the Boutbila operation was organized in collaboration with Le Moulin d’Or, in Greater Tunis (El Mourouj) in a spirit of protection of Tunisian heritage and the tradition of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Dressed in his traditional costume with bright colors, Boutbila still signed after his return for the third consecutive year and walked our streets. Very special: this time he did not just not call s’hour, he distributed it himself.
Following a well-defined schedule, Boutbila crisscrossed neighborhoods in Greater Tunis where he distributed the s’hour and reinstalled the forgotten image (or unknown for younger) of Boutbila the yesteryear awakener in Ramadan with no shortage to delight the nostalgic heart.
