After several months of creations, exchanges and experimentation, the Artisanerie opens its doors. This shop-workshop located in the heart of Tunis retains all the attention. Designed as a break, the workshop is an invitation to travel to various parts of Tunisia, to discover the work of artisans, materials and techniques rooted in a living heritage that continues to evolve.
From Guermessa to Ain Draham, from Nefta to the Medina of Tunis, from Feriana to Sidi Hssine, the Artisanerie brought together a community of artisans, creators and social entrepreneurs who thought and created together products with stories and know-how. Artisanerie is a place of mutual learning and exchange, between those who produce responsibly and those who consume in a reasoned way, to restore meaning to our craft.
The shop-workshop offers for sale collections made in the workshops of our partner craftsmen. L’Artisanerie offers a service of co-creation and customization to make custom objects and collections.
Why L’Artisanerie?
Holders of know-how, artisan-e-s partners are sources of inspiration, but it is not always easy for them to adapt the techniques and products to the desires and tastes of today. The Artisanerie and its network of actors in the field help the holders of knowledge to evolve over the new requirements, in respect of their know-how. The place is the showcase of those who offer us to see the best of our territories, and creates a balanced relationship between producers and consumers. It presents the origin of the pieces and know-how in the space “Histoires d’artisans”. The workshop area allows you to learn the techniques and discover the artisans in action. It also allows professionals to design new creations directly with the community.
The Artisanerie is born as part of a project to support small networks of craftsmen and their place in the value chain, implemented by the association SHANTI and its partners with the support of Oxfam.
