The project aims to boost the ecological tourist movement in this region. The project has three main components: the development of a sustainable management study of the subject and its environment, revision of laws relating to the field of management of the reserve in addition to promoting the skills of people in the region in crafts and ecological tourism.

Dghoumes is a park designed in particular to restore the vegetation cover and plant characteristics of the Tunisian Sahara. It is also home to diverse wildlife.

The World Bank will also contribute to the promotion of the oasis of Tozeur governorate as part of a project to promote the ancient oasis in Tunisia. This project aims to establish the criteria and the areas of intervention in the Tunisian oasis, and the WB will fund pilot projects in some oasis contributing to the development of the conditions of life and work of farmers and sustainable management. A tender was launched for the second time to build a center for eco-tourism in Midès (delegation Tamaghza) which will be financed by the state.
