Accordingly, FTAV denounces and condemns the totally inappropriate content of the Minister’s response to the last question of the journalist and wishes to express its counterparts and partners of the Tunisian Federation of Hotels (FTH) unwavering support.
FTAV stresses that despite the professional differences that may currently exist between the professionals of the sector and the Ministry of Tourism, at no time had there been violating the dignity of individuals; the minister’s statements are therefore a crossing of the red line of respect and ethics.
It is also necessary to remind the public that the presidents of professional associations of tourism, whether or FTAV FTH, are democratically elected by their members. It is to them and them alone to decide their conscience or not to renew the mandate of their representatives. In witness whereof, the tourism minister was not to interfere in the internal affairs of trade federations.
FTAV therefore considers that the minister constitute a serious precedent that goes beyond its prerogatives.
In any event, the Minister invites FTAV to gather all the private and public sector stakeholders around the same table to iron out its divisions and seriously address the priorities of our tourism at a time when Tunisia crosses delicate moments and where it needs the unity of its children.
