The Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA) and the Tunis Science City (CST) set up the first Tunisian competition for local products. This competition, which will be held on November 29th and 30th 2017, is part of the promotion of Tunisian terroir products. It will enable the various producers of agricultural and agri-food products to enter a competition that will help them to stand out by the hedonic quality of their products and to obtain medals by way of distinction. It should be noted that the local market flies abroad. The products have the wind in their sails and allow to meet producers and regions and plunge into their know-how, universe, history ….. A to them, they are a part of the history of a country and its DNA.

The competition, organized by the APIA, is done in close collaboration with several public institutions, members of the steering committee, namely the Technical Center for Agro-Food (CTAA), the National Institute of Standardization and Industrial Property (INNORPI), the General Directorate of Agricultural Production (DGPA), the General Directorate of Organic Agriculture (DGAB) and the General Directorate of Agribusiness Industries (DGIA).

Technical and financial support is provided by the Market Access Project for Agri-food and Land Products (PAMPAT) financed by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of the Swiss Confederation (SECO) and implemented by the Organization United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry.
