Since it is almost impossible not to be tempted by the discovery of Sidi Bou, we suggest that you adorn yourself with leaves, color pencils, cameras to spend the most beautiful of the days with family. With the kids: Have them do a photo contest of doors or windows. With their digital devices, they will do wonders. In order to motivate them more, plan to make a photo blog and titillate the artist soul of your future teenagers.
With the little ones: Get watercolors and make drawings for them. Let the frolics, the village is safe especially off season. Avoid going there Wednesday morning, it’s the day of cruises and frankly, it’s worse than the Louvre in front of the portrait of the Mona Lisa!
With your teenagers: Settle down in the cafe and let them go to the port admire the beautiful boats by taking the 365 steps to go down … .and go up.
For lunch, I suggest you go with the children Tam Tam, a nice place with nice and varied menu. The children will be delighted as well as the biggest. For a more elaborate menu, I suggest the good old days and its irresistible terrace or the Dar Zarrouk, its breathtaking view and its delicious couscous in the “Berzguène” (regional Kef speciality).
Visit the Palace of the Baron d’Erlanger one of the most beautiful houses in the world, now converted into a Museum of Arabic and Mediterranean Music. The house itself is worth a visit. Visit the Museum of Mediterranean Instruments.
Otherwise, let yourself be seduced by this beautiful white and blue village. Its art galleries, antique shops, beautiful doors and wrought iron lace windows are delightful. Do not miss fresh mint tea at the famous mats café, a hot and crispy bambalouni (fried sweet cake) at Am Ali’s and a walk to the Sidi Chaabanne café to watch the sunset. Do not be in a hurry!
