This edition is also that of memory. A tribute will be paid to the pioneers of Tunisian tourism, originating from the region, such as Salah Essid, Aziz Miled, El Amouri, Raouf El Kateb, Hichem Driss, Mohaled Jegham …

For Ezzedine Chaieb, Bailli delegate of Tunisia: “Gastronomy is synonymous with life, happiness, elegance, sharing and friendship. Tunisia has always been East and will be, a land of welcome, peace and encounters. It is a paradise for gourmets and lovers of the pleasures of the table. The reputation of the country has been strained in recent years. But through the 6th Grand Chapter and many other events to come, we want to restore Tunisia’s reputation and restore its image as a modern, open, tolerant and festive country.

This ambition is shared by Leith Ben Zakour, who represents ONTT, who says that the Ministry of Tourism and the ONTT welcome “the commitment of professionals and civil society.” We support initiatives that serve Tunisia and its image And are delighted to see them proliferate. ”

That is what it says. He confesses that for some time the events relating to gastronomy and the culinary arts have multiplied. In a few months, many associations have been created, including the National Academy of Cooking (http://www.academie-nationale-cuisine.fr/), the white toques ( http://www.lestoquesblanches.fr/ ) l’ATPAC ( https://www.facebook.com/Association-Tunisienne-des-Professionnels-de-lArt-Culinaire-1384540345155640/ )….This multiplicity is to be welcomed and everything seems to indicate that a Federation of Culinary Arts of Tunisia is being created. A federation that already has its work cut out and whose programs can only put us in the mouth.
