The Tunisian Federation of Travel and Tourism Agencies (FTAV) and the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation (Swisscontact) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in favor of the promotion of the Dahar region in Tunis Alternative tourism.
It is a commitment for both parties to work to improve and diversify the tourist offer of Djebel Dahar through several axes. First of all, the creation of a management body for Destination Dahar, which will be responsible for marketing the tourism products of this destination. Then, by organizing targeted activities to raise awareness and promote the Dahar destination for the benefit of the actors supported by the FTAV. Also by providing travel agencies with the necessary information to market the Dahar product.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohamed Ali Toumi, President of FTAV and Mr. Yves Matthijs, National Representative of Swisscontact in Tunisia.

It should be noted that Swisscontact was present at the MIT Tourism Fair at the Kram fair (5-8 April) through a stand for the promotion of Dahar to encourage families to visit this region which, in addition to its natural assets ( Hiking trails, natural and cultural sites …), also has a capacity of accommodation of nearly 400 beds (7 classified hotels and 21 guest houses and cottages). It is also characterized by a dozen museums and heritage rooms. A team of enthusiasts will be present to answer questions from visitors and provide them with the necessary information for ways to visit the region.
