Sfax as you have never seen it by the artist Soufiane Bakouri

Photography as a memory, but also as a trace of the history of a region, of a people rich in its mixtures of cultures. The region of Sfax, like the whole country, is full of archaeological treasures. Report

To discover the otherwise Sfax 2016 region within the framework of the activities of the Palace of Photography of Sfax decided to show these vestiges to the general public by creating an event of magnitude. 6 artists have traveled the same sites and proposed together a delicate palette, sometimes surprising but complementary, of the patrimonial places of Sfax.

For this first report, we discover Sfax with the eyes and sensitivity of Sofiane Bakouri, a guest photographer from Béjaia in Algeria. Sofiane dresses up the architecture of her images with sensitivity on the verge of skin, always in search of her “amazigh” values, gentleness, solidarity and generosity.
