Photography as a memory, but also as a trace of the history of a region, of a people rich in its mixtures of cultures. The region of Sfax, like the whole country, is full of archaeological treasures.
In order to discover the otherwise Sfax 2016 region within the framework of the activities of the Palace of Photography of Sfax decided to show these vestiges to the general public by creating an event of magnitude. 6 artists have traveled the same sites and proposed together a delicate palette, sometimes surprising but complementary, of the patrimonial places of Sfax.
For this first report, we discover Sfax with the eyes and the sensibility of Hamideddine Bouali, the magician of the street of Tunis. Hamideddine traveled through the medina of Sfax as usual, but this time offers us paintings of a new, more plastic and abstract.
