The International Festival of the Kssours of Tataouine is already at its 38th edition. This event, which takes place in Tataouine from 1 to 4 March 2017, has almost always remained in the wake of the Douz and Tozeur festivals. The 2017 session made a qualitative jump. It attracted more than 20,000 spectators for the Festival’s closing show. The day before, the program attracted the attention of more than 1000 people for the Arab Poetry Night at the Kssar Ezzahra.
The event plunges the city and the region into a remarkable effervescence and could become one of the major cultural events of Tunisia if one continues to invest as much work and passion. Amel DJAIT
This year, The International Festival of the Kssours of Tataouine invited nine countries, including Libya, Algeria, Syria, Morocco, Italy, Palestine and Egypt, to join the grand finale of the Festival . The show in question lasted more than 3 hours and consisted of two parts.
The first is dedicated to the various folklore groups coming from the governorates of Medenine, Tatouine and Kebili. It is a procession which composed the second part of the closing program with an artistic creation combining musical odyssey with equestrian choreography.
Such manifestations and artistic creations sign the cultural effervescence that shakes various regions of the country including the southwest of the country.
It is through this display of identity that not only the return to sources takes place, but also and above all the mountainous, Amazigh and Bedouin cultural demands in a most edifying social and cultural cohesion over the wealth of Tunisia …
