Excellent leader of artistic projects, coupled with a confirmed intellectual – to his credit a Doctorate in Music and Musicology of Paris Sorbonne – Mohamed Ali Kammoun is recognized today as one of the outstanding figures of Tunisian cultural scene.

Outstanding performer trained in prestigious Parisian school CIM and Bill Evans Piano Academy, he assured in 2010 the closing of Jazz in Carthage as a pianist of the famous Latin jazz orchestra Mayra Caridad Valdés (Cuba), he also played in Austria with Fawzi Chekili and Pablo Project with Mamdouh Bahri, etc.

His Oriental Jazz Quintet suggests an original and diverse sound profile. With Jihed Khémiri (p.) And Helmi Neifar (b.) Two extraordinary young musicians that continue to shine on the big Tunisian scenes, piano mixes with impetuous Tunisian percussion and electric bass vibrating. To their sides two soloists: the lutenist Hamdi Makhlouf vocalist and player of nây Hichem Badrani.

In 2013, it was the culmination of a rich creative phase with the first album that will bring these musicians Tunisology, whose title evokes reflection on the Tunisian contemporary musical art.
