Clear round for this atypical musician, philosophy graduated and then passed by the Paris Conservatoire before shining on the big stages of the French Jazz before leaving for New York where he performed with Roy Hargrove, Tony Malaby and Richard Bona. His first recording with the Dress Code Quintet, released in 2012, the critically acclaimed (Revelation Jazz Magazine) which sees Yacine Boulares “best” turnerien “of the Hexagon, … the thickness of timbre and more.” Winner of the Jazz St Germain des Prés in 2006, and winner of the prestigious Fulbright scholarship, Yacine is endorsed by the Selmer saxophones, and the Lebayle beaks.

Very active on the African music scene in New York, Yacine Boulares present for Jazz a Carthage African-inspired project, like a homecoming of jazz. The pieces are inspired Cameroonians trance rhythms and melodies fleshed with multiple colors.

We can close our eyes and let go to weightlessness, nothing will disturb this inner journey, this moment of pure happiness. A concert to seduce insiders as lovers who will find the quintessence of jazz.
