It is in favor of a conference on “The fair trade  for sustainable agriculture” to be held in the margins of the agriculture fair “SIAT Fair 2016” that the Tunisian Platform Fair Trade (TCEP) will be launched on 21 / 10/2016. The platform will be supported by an economic interest grouping (EIG) involving the three organizers of the conference; Tunisian Platform of Social Solidarity Economy (PLATESS), the cooperative Coop “and the National Chamber of Councillors.

The platform will be launched:

  • “Tunisia-Coop ‘distribution cooperative with the main objective of supplying its members products and services at the best quality / price ratio. Its activity is, in principle, on all consumer goods and services but the choice has to start by focusing on the food trade. The objectives of “Coop-Tunisia” is the contribution to the improvement of the purchasing power of Tunisian consumers, improving incomes and living conditions of small producers and service providers, job creation especially among the young graduates and women and dissemination of the culture of sustainable consumption.
  • “PLATESS” is Tunisian Platform of Social Solidarity Economy: Founded after January 14, 2011, PLATESS campaigning for: a more equitable sharing of interregions economic resources, promote a social and solidarity-based partnership with research and development institutions (R & D ) in academic and entrepreneurial environments, improve & smoother cooperation at the institutional level, promote transparency through a responsible public order, highlight the complementarity between social economy & sustainable solidarity, … for more information: https: / /www.facebook.com/platess.asso
