Biological, small and tasty, pistachios are grown essentially in the entire region Guettar where they are even a symbol.
In the famous mountain Sned, the pistachio is king. It consolidates fruit production in the region which covers 106,377 ha of fruit trees including olive, almond and fig trees. Here, a dense agricultural activity is being reborn. It revolves around including organic farming that grows thanks to the dynamism of the Association of Young Farmers Sned.
If the area is known to be mainly mining, it is also rural and records a dense and difficult farming due in difficult climatic conditions.
The pistachio is a dry fruit produced by a shrub; the true pistachio and it is one of the oldest nut trees. In ancient times, it was used as a dye and as a medicine against toothache or liver inflammation. Rich in nutrients, this fruit contains more than 30 vitamins, minerals, etc.
